Can't believe it's already been a decade since The Force Awakens came out. One good thing I'll say about it, and the sequel trilogy, is that it laid bare just how hollow J.J. Abrams' Mystery Box is.

I agree with this. The problem with Metroid Other M wasn't that Samus talked. It was that she talked way too much about pointless stuff.
Metroid Dread did it well with her speaking Chozo at the end.

I've seen some articles saying if Metroid is going to have talking NPCs that Samus should talk.
I... Don't disagree. She doesn't need to talk A LOT, just a little bit more than the Doom Slayer but still /efficiently/, ya know?

Learning about game development is reminding me just how much geometry and calculus I've forgotten since school. Going to need to watch a crash course video on angles and radians and derivatives to hopefully jog my memory.

Maybe I'm weird, but I don't mind the Galactic Federation troops tagging along with Samus in MP4. It gives the story some more weight having some random people get caught up in her adventure, who she also has to defend and get help from.

Finally dusted off a book on Godot 4, that I'd bought during the pandemic. Been making my way through the projects, having a good time learning the engine. When I actually have something to show, I look forward to sharing images and clips on here.

Just in! A large lot of CIB 9/10 or 10/10 Game Boy games. This is about 1/6 of the total games and we’ll be adding more each day as fast as we can get them cleaned and tested.

Unless reviews and word of mouth are glowing, I think I'm going to pass on Pokemon Legends: Z-A. It's not even because of the DLC or gated Mega forms controversy, it just doesn't look very interesting.

Was feeling well enough to go see Superman over the weekend. I enjoyed it, it was a lot of fun. Definitely more fun than the grimdark Man of Steel.

Still enjoying Marvel Rivals, quite a bit more than I expected to. But man, I wish they gave you some battle pass XP for playing a round or two. It sucks when the daily missions are done and you have to wait for them to refresh.
