Haven't been able to stop playing Fallout 4 lately. In reading more about it, I learned that Ghost in the Shell director Mamoru Oshii has spent over 10,000 hours (!) playing the game, and stumbled upon this hilarious picture he took of the insane Power Armor collection he amassed in-game.

So excited that Tomas Alfredson is finally out of director's jail and shooting a new film. I know The Snowman is a disaster, but few filmmakers have ever started their careers better than he did with Let the Right One In and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Let Tomas Cook!

Woah, holy shit! Mistborn is finally being adapted for the screen. When I was at Netflix a few years ago I pushed hard for this to happen, hopefully Apple TV can realize the series' sky-high cinematic potential.

Watched Sidney Lumet's fantastic World War II film The Hill the other night, and I kept thinking that this actor in it looked so much like Rory Kinnear it was distracting. Turns out the actor is Roy Kinnear, Rory's father. Makes sense!

So sad to hear that the brilliant, legendary Béla Tarr died. Very glad that I got to see him do Q&As in person for Werckmeister Harmonies and The Turin Horse in 2023. No one did it quite like him.
