Roofman was really good, a no-frills character drama the likes of which Hollywood rarely makes anymore. The lineup for Best Supporting Actress contenders is so weak this year (Ariana Grande is the frontrunner) that Kirsten Dunst would get my vote, she was phenomenal in a very understated role.

This is a pretty crazy situation, can't recall something like this happening before. I'm disappointed it seems like it will never be released now, I've become a huge Benoît Magimel fan recently (after seeing him in Pacifiction and The Taste of Things) and was excited to see him lead a big TV show.

After tonight’s game I’m willing to admit that the Rams are (currently) the best team in the NFL and Matthew Stafford is the runaway frontrunner for MVP. They just put 31 points on the Bucs in one half and made it look easy.

Oh no, so sad to hear that the great German actor Udo Kier died. I saw him at a screening of The Secret Agent last month and he was delightful.

Myles Garrett is now up to 18 sacks this season, with 6 games left to play. We will finally see Michael Strahan's fugazi single-season sack record fall this year!

Looks like today is the day the Patriots’ Cinderella run comes to an end. The injuries are starting to pile up and they just lost left tackle Will Campbell. Depressing!

I don't think I've ever hated a cast of TV characters as much as I do the ensemble in I Love LA. By the third episode, I've already started rooting for an earthquake to wipe out the city and everyone in it.

For whatever reason, in minutes, Trump has spoken more warmly about Zohran Mamdani than some of the Democratic party leadership has to date
"The better he does, the happier I am," Donald Trump says about Zohran Mamdani as he congratulates him.

Never watched one of these Hallmark/Netflix Christmas romance movies before but I may make an exception for Champagne Problems, because I love that Tom Wozniczka, who played the French assassin Patrice in Slow Horses S4, is the lead opposite Minka Kelly. So happy for him!

Very happy to see The Chair Company was renewed for a second season. Funniest show on TV right now.

Rewatching Lost. Last night was The Constant. Still remains utterly perfect, one of the best episodes of television ever created.

Absolutely LOVE that Paul Giamatti voices John Adams in Ken Burns' The American Revolution documentary. Such a great choice. Giamatti should be the only actor allowed to play John Adams until he dies.

Dispatch is so damn good, highly recommend to anyone interested in story-driven games.
I went from not knowing anything about this game to blasting through every single available episode, including the finale, in a single week. It started making cracks in my formerly confident argument for Silksong as GOTY. Remarkable game.
Dispatch has reached over 2 million players

Glad to see a discussion about the plight of independent producers. There's a direct relationship between the devaluing of the creative producer position, the proliferation of vanity "producer" credits, and the ever-worsening quality of Hollywood films. Change is needed. variety.com/2025/film/fe...

American Cinematheque is the best in town. Amazing news that they'll be adding another historical theater to their lineup.

An Epstein Files commercial during Monday Night Football?!

Enjoyed Death by Lightning on Netflix. It feels like the political elements were dumbed down to make it more palatable for mainstream audiences but the performances, especially Nick Offerman as Chester A. Arthur, were fun enough that I'd recommend it to anyone with an interest in American history.

This is so brutal, both for Michael Penix (who already tore his ACL twice in college) and the Falcons (whose next 1st round pick, likely in the top 10, will go to the Rams). What a nightmare season for Atlanta.
Per source: #falcons QB Michael Penix is believed to have suffered a partial ACL tear and is expected to miss the rest of the season.

Good selection. My personal Game of the Year is Kingdom Come: Deliverance II but I expect Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 to win the majority of GOTY votes.
The Game Awards GOTY nominees leaked:

-Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
-Death Stranding 2: On the Beach
-Donkey Kong Bananza
-Hades II
-Hollow Knight: Silksong
-Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

Really enjoyed A Case of Fraud. It's only $7.64 on Steam right now, if you like detective/mystery games it's a must-play.
