I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.

18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.

We made this website to tell our story:

NEW: Senator Marshall (R-KS) RUNS AWAY, fleeing his own town hall after being asked about DOGE firing Veterans. MAKE HIM GO VIRAL.

Where are the Democrat town halls?! Why aren’t constituents affected by the federal cuts being platformed for the media?? God bless the voters in red states yelling at their reps; blue state voters want to show up too and support our neighbors who’ve dedicated their lives to public service.

A country should not be run like a Fortune 100. Governments serve people, not profits. You can’t "fire" children, elderly or poor. Markets fail at healthcare, infrastructure, & crisis response. Democracy isn’t a CEO dictatorship. A nation’s success is well-being not board member returns. Civics 101.

There are so many reasons university endowments can't make up for the dramatic cuts the Trump administration has planned for science.

Here are a few. Thanks to @donmoyn.bsky.social for the platform.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

Please check your American arrogance and privilege at the door... and then slam your head in it, Mr. Baker. There is no "admitting" 🇨🇦 as a State. Millions of Canadians would die in a war to prevent the dishonour of being a State. Look up Pyrrhic victory, and then try to be a serious journalist.

If you wanted to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, you would empower the inspectors general.

If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.

For the second time in this hearing, RFK says that premiums and deductibles in Medicaid are too high. People on Medicaid don't pay premiums or deductibles. It's mind-boggling that he doesn't know this.

There is something self-defeating about news statements like "Trump falsely / without evidence blames DEI for the aircraft collision," as if there's a scenario where, with the appropriate evidence, authorities could say "ah, DEI did this." You're accidentally replicating the smear. /1

Maybe — just maybe, hear me out here — the Director of National Intelligence should NOT be someone who made a TSA watch list for suspicious foreign travel.

Opportunities are everywhere.

Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

Not all of it can be broadcast online, but we’ve had hundreds of people showing up to our trainings, mobilizations, and more.
