the people, in spite of their government, stay winning

This is how I feel about the Machado Nobel prize situation. Every time I see a headline about it, I just scroll by as fast as I can. Another reality so stupid it feels fake.

We don’t have money for pencils and tissues at school, but sure, there’s a surgeon on hand to change a kid’s gender without parental consent. Like what are we even talking about here people?
