Excellent inspiring day spent with the Trustees and the Colne Valley Park team at #Denham Waterski Club on Thursday; brainstorming on how we can better protect, promote and enhance the Regional Park. Many thanks to Robin for his excellent hospitality.

Always lovely to spend an afternoon with the kingfishers at @maplelodgereserve.bsky.social. This female was out fishing immediately after the rain on Sunday.

Plus bonus migrant hawker dragonfly pic.

Stunning sky this morning. Glorious walking along the Grand Union Canal to #Denham country park past Frayes meadow. A reminder of how lucky we are to have the Colne Valley Regional Park.

They also cut back vegetation from one of the lagoon viewing platforms which had become completely engulfed. A big thank you to these hard working #volunteers.

Do watch Stewart Pomeroy last night on @BBCLondonNews explaining the importance of the Colne Valley Regional Park and why our beautiful landscape is a lot more than a backdrop to an engineering project.

You can now see it’s a Nature Reserve from the front entrance. We think you’ll agree, that thanks to their hard work, this is much more welcoming. Day organised by the Colne Valley Park Green Team @gwksouth.bsky.social @groundworkuk.bsky.social

Invasive Non-Native Species can look innocuous, even pretty, but they cost the UK over £4 Billion every year though direct damage and loss of habitat for native species. This latest threat to our local rivers is American Skunk Cabbage @invasiveSP

Pleased to meet with the Colne Valley Region Park team at Langley Park to discuss how we can improve access to the Colne Valley Regional Park — including better cycling links and attractive walking routes.

Protecting and enhancing our precious green spaces must be a key priority.🌿
