Just to clarify I don’t really believe this to be the case. At least not at a grand scale but my cynical side can’t help but be curious

@mcuban.bsky.social curious on your thought on this, I have been seeing theory’s that dems are slow to act in the way you suggest and other legislation measures, as a “we told you so” strategy. Basically the thought being they kind of want things to go wrong to break up some of the GOP base

This one of my biggest arguments when someone tries the “we have gotten so soft” argument, no we just realized how terrible we were as a society and some of us are working to be better.
