Congress never put a ratification deadline in the text of the proposed amendment.

Also 6 states “rescinded” their ratification.

Last year, the ABA stated deadlines and rescinding are not part of the Constitutional process.

The trial court's ruling on Amendment 3 and the impact it will have on Missouri's extreme abortion ban is somewhat complicated.

Although Missouri's abortion bans are paused, effectively, facilities in Missouri cannot yet perform abortions.

As I predicted, Missouri's AG has completely reversed his interpretation of what the Amendment legalizing abortion does now that it is law. The pro-A3 campaign had to sue twice to get rid of inflammatory ballot language claiming abortion would be completely unregulated and dangerous...
