I recently read 1984, having read it as a 15yo. I can't believe how many things are actually coming true.

Yet another example of the COST OF GREED crisis. Where is the uproar from media outlets? My charity is overwhelmed with people in crisis, oh and our new energy contract has risen by 166%. Meanwhile bills have risen in January and look set to rise again in April AND October.
Leading energy firms have posted over £483bn in profits since the start of the energy bills crisis with more than £85bn declared in 2024 alone.

The cost to the NHS Iin England alone from living in cold damp homes is estimated to be between £1.2 and £billion per year. Children living in cold damp homes have their life chances severely restricted, but Ofgem don't seem to care. Energy UK definitely don't care.
