The flag IS irredeemable. It's been irredeemable since the British Empire, since Britain was built on colonialism and genocide. Heinous, heinous crimes have been committed in the name of that flag for hundreds of years.

I recognise that some on the left think the flag is irredeemable. It's an argument I've heard many times. But it begs the question of how you hope to build solidarity with the working class when you're telling them that the symbol with which many of them identify is the same as the swastika?

I mean here he is, chirping at me and rubbing against my leg while I'm preparing his dinner, then when I'm done he gives a delighted little squeal and runs off to his eating area. This is what I mean, he looks awful and he's so unwell but his mannerisms are just so...normal.

On a day to day he seems happy, spends his day pottering about, climbing, napping, asking for fuss, pestering us when it's his dinner time. He has a great appetite and is eating loads. But looking at him you can see he's not well.

Sakamoto has enlarged kidneys and liver, has lost a lot of muscle in his abdomen like something's been eating him from the inside and when he goes for a wee he never quite makes it to the litter tray anymore.

Am I being selfish making him keep going?

I've been a delivery driver in various forms and people who live on more affluent estates are by far the worst tippers. It was the council eastates and the high rise blocks you'd always get tips.

I’ve been around wealthy people. I’ve been around people living with very little. And everywhere in between. The wealthy people are always the least generous. By FAR. Wealth degrades humanity. It’s not used to help us flourish. Not at all.

I told him my wife would also avoid stickers or flags and he said "Then the stickers will send a message to white English people who are appalled by the way the flags make your wife feel that they are not alone in opposing the racists". An absolutely jaw dropping response, where to even start?!

Over on Twitter I used to see people calling Just Stop Oil and Hunt Saboteurs terrorists without a hint of irony. The word terrorist has lost all meaning the way British people bandy it about.
