I feel this in my bones. I don't want to know my neighbors, but I do want them to have all their other needs met by a cooperative system. Tragically, I think that for people like me, the most immediate critical work is maybe to address what pushes us towards that feeling.

It is a huge problem/failure that as a society, we're more invested in guaranteeing people's right to opt into death than we are in securing the material needs they require to live without duress. The reason for it is obvious: it costs capital basically nothing to allow people to die. (3/3)

I support the right to die, but I concede there is nuance to this. Where I feel people on the "pro" side of the issue are more likely to think of bizarre outliers (where families forced individuals to endure suffering they no longer wanted) the unfortunate reality in many places is that it (1/3)

Ok so I definitely think I walked past you at the Frankenstein showing yesterday evening. Steph and I were on our way out during the credits, did a brief double take but thought I misjudged. You may have heard me obnoxiously coughing and trying not to die after swallowing a Skittle incorrectly.

Could be the CoD...could also be that one of our two mainstream political parties straight up endorses Nazis, doing the Nazi salute, etc. Thankfully the other political party doesn't, except I'm now being lectured that excluding a person with a Nazi tattoo from said party is a "leftist purity test"
