And sellers who aren’t actually outside of the restrictions of their paypro are completely safe even if they DO get reported. They’re also free to use “high risk” payment processors for stronger guarantees that they won’t have to worry
conjured.ink
tl;dr: paypro censorship for places like itch rely on threatening ALL payments for a single platform based on the content of only a few sellers

That’s not possible with us. You would need to report and threaten every single individual seller, each of which could be using a different paypro

And we're live!!
conjured.ink
We'll be starting soon! Hope to see you there 🥰

In addition, we’ll be producing guides that anyone can reference for help with navigating the waters of ecommerce.

When it all comes together, this new ecosystem will create truly empowering opportunities for creatives and supporters alike. We hope you’ll join us for the ride!

The second, called a “bazaar”, is a site which allows users to search multiple market stalls. Stall owners can register with one or more bazaars, which will scan their products and include them in search results. Bazaars are built to be immune to payment processor strong-arming!

Conjured Ink is producing two free and open source applications that anyone can use however they like.

The first, called a “market stall”, is a standalone ecommerce site (think woocommerce or Shopify!) that can be run cheaply and easily, even for those without tech chops.

Conjured Ink is a community of creatives, developers, and supporters building software, support structures, and curated documentation to make it easy for people who make things to be able to share it or sell it independently, without relying exclusively on large platforms.
Text on a rainbow backdrop. To the right of the text is a graphic showing three stalls marked 'you', with arrows connecting them to the stylized logo of Conjured Ink.

The text reads:

We at Conjured Ink are working to provide a user-controlled "bazaar" that is censorship-resistant.
That means for creatives, you'll be able to make customizable "market stalls" to share and sell your works.
For buyers, you'll be able to support your favorite creators free from the stress of blanket bans.

yes. It will be a few months before it's ready, but the idea will be to launch tools that will let you build your own independent ecommerce site with a paypro of your choosing (whether that's stripe, ccbill, zenpayments, etc). You won't need to know anything about coding to use it :)

They can be, yeah. Once the payment system is in place, these are basically just "products".

What won't really be possible re: commissions is something like VGen's "escrow" system.

Here's another pair of characters, from another artist in our collective. Who's your favorite? The bird? The cat? Do you love them both? Let us know, and join for updates and even helping build this thing! https://conjured.ink
A cute bird cartoon. The bird is black with orange eyes and is wearing an witch hat. It is visually composed of flowing ink. A cute cat cartoon. The cat is black with orange eyes and is wearing an witch hat. It is visually composed of flowing ink.

Itch and Steam got a bunch of us thinking; we need a catalogue where creative works are less vulnerable to censorship. A storefront we won't be delisted from. One giving us the autonomy to sell our stuff our way. So we're making Conjured Ink. You can join us. https://conjured.ink
a logo image that says - conjured ink. following the logo, the graphic says pro-weird, anti-censorship seller shop software.

We're building something radical, personal, and empowering. Our little collective is called Conjured Ink. What, specifically, are we doing? Breaking the chains of monopolization and large platforms that limit creatives. Check it out at htps://conjured.ink
a ink-on-paper drawing scanned in to digital, it has chains in gray being broken by a bursting tree that looks like inkblots.

Bailey, we're all about giving creatives like you the tools to sell your work, on your terms. Watch this space! 🫡✊👀

BTW: There is zero blockchain stuff going on here. No AI. None of the bs that techbros and oligarchs are trying to force upon us.

These two inky girlfriends were drawn to represent, in part, Conjured Ink and what it can become. We have other characters, too, from various artists in our collective. You can join, and help build something that breaks the stranglehold of large platforms over art. https://conjured.ink
two inkblot character cartoons side by side. the one on the left is blue, the one on the right is pink, both live in ink jars
