Ireland making basic income for artists permanent has me wondering if I can put up w breaking my no-contact w my father long enough to get the papers I need from him to claim Irish citizenship. I know he didn't add me to the FBR but... Maybe there might still be a chance?

It can take emotional fortitude, but I think any marginalized spec fic writer can enjoy* the DS9 episode "Far Beyond the Stars" w/o knowing ANYTHING abt star trek. if you find yourself in a surplus of spoons & curious abt Star Trek DS9, that's the episode I rec.

Attempted to rescue a loose dog (success, but needed help)

Had to climb way too many steps after someone in my apartment building prank pulled the fire alarm

It's often thought of as a thing acquired in the military, but any traumatic event can cause it. It's difficult to treat in that it takes a lot of time and consistent effort, but with the a mental health team you trust, it can be managed. I hope you are closer to finding some relief now.

So many of the specialists I see have offices over an hour away. I cannot drive. Telehealth was how I have been able to manage my chronic illnesses and disabilities. I am so screwed.

Medicare is no longer covering telehealth visits.

Congress has not extended the coverage given during the pandemic, and with the government shutdown that extension is unlikely anytime soon.

So elderly patients on Medicare can no longer take medical appointments from home.

I am sore all over oh my gosh. Why is moving so physically demanding? I am like 95% settled into my new place now and officially done w the old place so hopefully my life is less ✨ chaos ✨ soon.
