I agree with every word Zelda Williams says. And this at the end from OpenAI makes me want to go full Ned Ludd. Creators can’t have a blanket opt-out on copyright infringement of their work and have to fill out a form appealing to OpenAI’s mercy every time? Fuck off into the sun

OpenAI told the Guardian that content owners can flag copyright infringement using a “copyright disputes form” but that individual artists or studios cannot have a blanket opt-out. Varun Shetty, OpenAI’s head of media partnerships, said: “We’ll work with rights holders to block characters from Sora at their request and respond to takedown requests.”

I normally don’t bother printing single issues because they’re too expensive and I never shift enough of them, but while I’m pumping out new issues I’d might as well get additional use out of some of them before the next volume comes out.

The most recent Kid Eastwood issue (the public domain one with Popeye and Mickey) works well as a standalone one-off, so for upcoming conventions I’m gonna be printing it as a single issue without the issue numbering.

For perspective, I started issue 32 the same week I wrapped up 31 and wrote/drew the whole thing in 15 days, giving me a real solid parachute for starting the next issue which stands to be a real important one that’ll take some planning.
