The most depressing lesson about politics is learning "Politicians doing thing I support" is not rewarded or acknowledged by people who care about "thing I support".

These are not the difficult questions about single-payer!

While conflating universal coverage with single-payer!

I have now shifted to reinforcing my priors that this administration is incompetent and Trump doesn't know what's going on.

Because this should have been part of the initial press release or statement and Trump doesn't appear to know what was going on when he talked to the press today.

A sanctioned oil tanker named Skipper. I've been told it's normal and legal, but I also don't have the background knowledge to verify what I've been told.

I'm impressed by people bragging about their inability to do five minutes of research to see if there were any articles written about this.

The weirdest part is that the website's grant program has several presumably reasonable ideas (family security screening lines, children's play areas, mothers' rooms).

But somehow RFK Jr attached himself to this and he's insane.

At sit-down restaurants for people serving them? Probably an indicator of inflation concerns.

Why Democrats are focused on the actions of the Trump admin instead of hypothetical actions is one of those questions that answers themselves.

"this is consistent with the type of xenophobic behavior that we've seen from this President, from the administration, from my Republican colleagues instead of focusing on the issues that matter because they have no solutions"

It's a bit odd for a clip, since the summary is probably accurate.

But what she talked about was the difficulty of talking with student protestors, giving an example of the protestors being unable to identify the river or the sea in "From the river to the sea".

Yeah, the social media post (which has since been deleted or edited) said "I will be granting a Full and Complete Pardon to Former President Juan Orlando Hernandez who has been, according to many people that I greatly respect", not that he has signed it.

Did the original article use the word slogan, or is that something Bluesky added to get angry about?
November 30, 2025 at 8:27 PM
It's explicitly not a slogan.

It's a talking point Jeffries uses to segue into talking about opportunity and the need to support social programs.

Here's him saying it in August and October, for example.

The main issue has always been "lose your current health insurance to be replaced by a government plan". As seen in every other country that implemented universal healthcare without single payer.

"We are now receiving conflicting reports about the condition of our two Guard members and will provide additional updates once we receive more complete information. "

They sent a helicopter for one person, the other two people were in ambulances.

Will be interesting to find out what that MRI was for someday.

Who knows, we may have "This is a scandal" coverage instead of the current "The White House reports everything is fine".

It's true, but complaining about medal display while accusing someone of sedition really shows how much they care about the sedition charge.

It's like pointing out an athlete's jersey is untucked after they went into the bleachers to attack fans.
November 25, 2025 at 10:55 PM
Still trying to wrap my head around "How dare you say the military needs to follow the law!"
November 25, 2025 at 12:58 AM
At some point, people are going to realize that "affordability" is only a winning message for the non-incumbent party.
November 24, 2025 at 6:45 PM
I appreciate that you acknowledge you don't bother reading what you are responding to and just like to rant. Makes it easier to ignore you.
November 24, 2025 at 2:49 PM
The campaign message is that those don't count and incumbent Democrats need to be destroyed for failing to successfully impeach.
November 24, 2025 at 1:20 PM
Would have been a very different press event today if Trump had announced any policies or had agreed to any of Mamdani's policy proposals.
