Churro peacing out because SWEET QUETZALCOATLUS SHE SAW ME ACK (I suspect that he's still deciding whether I am scary or not. Churro likes to hold perfectly still if he notices me looking at him, then move swiftly away into the shelter of his leaf litter the moment that I turn my head.)

WHAT HO, A SCAPULA?! Also some connective-y muscle which I feel meh about right now BUT YAY I HAVE SCULPTED A LEG!🤪
Next I shall attempt to make this leg look slightly nicer before duplicating it so that this hynorse has TWO front legs! (Once I figure out how to merge shapes/layers.😅)

I went looking for a Tradescantia zebrina for Churro & found an extremely affordable baby Monstera deliciosa, (what is to me the king of house plants,) instead! 🥹 Guys, I've been wanting one of these forever, I'm SO happy! ❤️❤️❤️

I have a strong, strrrong desire to make Churro's vivarium shelves diagonal instead of just boring & straight across rectangular but I'm not entirely sure how to do a diagonal cut on plywood, even a small piece of plywood - but wouldn't diagonal shelves just look so much more interesting?!

Everything was going so well until I tried sculpting the first part of his paw, lol. 😂 My first project self assignment is to sculpt an .stl -worthy figure of one of my creatures, in this case a hynorse because it would be absolutely incredible to have a physical model of one standing on my shelf...

Did some fine tuned trimming of some of the boards today; got the top facing looking good, I think! Now I just need to trim the boards which form the rear part of the shelves more.
Waiting for payday so I can buy more supplies. I found a great source of glass (NOT the dollarstore or Ikea; yay!)

Progress! I'm learning that construction is basically a lot of unforeseen costs. Also cutting plywood is TERRIFYING - it's worth the extra $1 or so to get the hardware store to cut it for you (Home Depot does it but of course my dad & I were tired when I bought the plywood so we didn't remember.🫠)

The brightly coloured upper cactus is Gymnocalycium mihanovichii & lacking green pigmentation, it can't photosynthesize - the long suffering bottom cactus is Hylocereus undatus - aka DRAGON FRUIT cactus! It can grow FOOD!
