Seems that they have the IP and a desire to do it, but no funding, script, or cast and are trying to hype it up in the press to attract some funding. I'm not going to get my hopes up.

If it does happen, it is going to take several years before it arrives on screens.

This puts me a step closer to writing a scenario I've been planning for Silver Bayonet: Turkey Man Ruins Thanksgiving.

That said, I did break down and buy my first model of 2026 the other day. I was putting in a preview for Warriors of Athena and my hand slipped and now I have Turkey Man by @badsquiddogames.bsky.social waiting to be dispatched.

Usually that sort of comment leads to me indulging my morbid curiosity but Instagram’s UI is so awful that I deleted my account a couple of years ago. Meta is so hostile to people who they can’t get personal data from that comments are basically inaccessible to me now and my brain is safe today!

I think there's a tendency in modern media to put its politics in the text (sometimes to the point where its a lecture given by a character) and the people who complain about the politics existing are the ones too media illiterate to notice the massively unsubtle metaphors that THP was making

Anywhere other than Warhammer stores sells their products at a hefty discount. I think GW want to minimise their retail business to focus on miniature production and keep their retail business going almost entirely to get people into the hobby funnel.

What's the original source for that?

Oh, it absolutely is semantics but those people demand to be taken seriously which is much harder with a catchphrase of “but the fluff” 😁

I find my myself wondering how much better things might be if the collection of pulp fiction designed to sell toy soldiers was called “fluff” instead of having the pretentious weight of the word “lore” which encourages people to treat it as holy.

My current work-in-progress is shiny because it got hit with varnish to allow the wash of marine juice I applied afterwards to flow properly.

Lt. Titus is the first Ultramarine I have painted this century.

Someone reposted this a couple of days ago and I picked up a copy. I have just finished and can confidently say that it is a phenomenal book. (I left a review to that effect on Audible where the praise will be more useful fuel for The Algorithm). Thank-you for that surprisingly emotional journey!
