“I’m delighted that my motion was approved. The use of bailiffs to collect debt is an unethical practice – one that keeps people who are in financial trouble stuck in a downward spiral of debt.

2/ Dozens of local residents made a last ditch attempt to stop this brutal act of ecological vandalism.

After pointing out that the felling was unlawful, a protester was manhandled by police & had her head bounced off the pavement by them (she is badly bruised & lucky not be more badly injured).

Cllr Dean Evans criticised the decision this weekend:

“In a democracy, it is not fair that wealthy homeowners can seemingly extract large sums of money from the Council behind closed doors, and without transparency with the public that fund them."
