It's so frustrating to see people saying "Alastor is actually/secretly just misunderstood and a good guy" to sanitize or cope with his upcoming villain arc in Season 3. 💀 I don't think Alastor is secretly a "good guy" or an altruist. I'm wondering why Lucifer met with Zestial, Carmilla, and Zeezi/Missi Zilla in the pilot episode, but he doesn't seem to know or recognize them later on in the show. (If Carmilla lost her husband or partner due to the exterminations, then she suffered loss indirectly due to Lucifer's [in]action.)

For as much as people love Lucifer, a lot of the concern I saw on Twitter/X was for Alastor, with the perception being that "he was bleeding out all over the floor...again". (Sinners regenerate, but from what folks were saying, it can be a extraordinarily painful process, depending on the injuries.)
