It’s always the communication part that gets to me!! I’m more than willing to wait an inane amount of time for a commission if there’s an open channel of communication. If I have to hunt you down just for a sketch I don’t even want to give you my business anymore

I had to message them daily for like two weeks and never got an update. They ended up going “ah we just had everything in the art room destroyed I’ll just refund” like dude just say you never got around to my commission 😭😭

I once commissioned a plush from someone and when I asked for an update half a year later they straight up told me they didn’t even know I commissioned them. And then I asked for another follow up months later and was hit with “yeah I’ll send an update tonight!!”

The way this has happened to me multiple times. What the hell. I think out of the commissions I’ve gotten in my life only 4 or 5 of them went well without the artist just disappearing on me.

We didn’t chat much, but I appreciate the times we’ve talked and loved seeing your art come on my feed. Thank you so so much for all your help with finding my footing as an artist, I hope you’re resting easy.
