Just some guy, not a creator or artist.
Progressive. Safe for 🏳️‍🌈, 🏳️‍⚧️, et al.
For now, I don't intend to repost nsfw art.
And this entire trial is over a question of whether someone pushed a cop who was in the middle of pushing people around. Christ.

I could empathize with that, except that this isn't even a stab at British people. The guy in the comic is not portrayed as being right for his view. The absurdity of his viewpoint is the punchline.

Seems like a "needs of the many versus needs of the one" proposition, as one person's loss could save others from the same, stupid outcome in the future. But I don't think I agree that one more, highly publicized gambling victory or loss is really going to make a dent in anything.

Just on the face of it, I'm a tad skeptical that one can simply defer all federal income tax for 7 years, free of interest or other downsides.

Sort of. The members of each house of congress elect their own speaker. Typically, the party members all vote for a member from their own party, making the choice of speaker come down to a simple majority of party representation.

But they don't have to. Do you trust someone like Suozzi to do so?

Any reasonable court should immediately dismiss a case in which the plaintiff claims absolute authority over the defendant. Suing yourself is nonsensical. So of course, our legal system will allow it.

Minor correction, it wasn't Nixon himself who ever admitted it but one of his top advisors and domestic policy chief, John Ehrlichman. The man's children all spoke up in 2016 to say that he wasn't racist, but they didn't dispute that he helped Nixon with that agenda. www.cnn.com/2016/03/23/p...

Considering that something like 7 or 10 of them reliably vote with the Republicans when the margins are thin, yeah, it's not actually that close.
February 1, 2026 at 11:45 PM
Not really "one vote". Remember that 7 to 10 Democrats can be relied upon to vote for any Republican proposal when the numbers require it. The party needs a bigger margin than that to have a majority.

And maybe don't take simply interacting with the video in any way -- such as pausing it -- as permission to have it now blast at full volume.

That doesn't really sound like a good thing, either. I think neither of you should have had to go through that.
January 29, 2026 at 4:56 AM
And yes, that also goes for people being assholes to critics who don't score games how they want them to. Or threatening violence against critics or artists over fucking nothing.
January 29, 2026 at 4:55 AM
But there are people who go overboard with tearing down art because overblown reactions are what get clicks. I think that kind of deliberate, hyperbolic negativity is unhealthy for the ecosystem, and I can empathize with this guy about not liking people flinging shit at others' hard work.
January 29, 2026 at 4:45 AM
Yes, I don't sense much promise in this idea as stated, but I do like the vibe of encouraging people not to be harsh assholes to artists for the sake of fame. And I don't mean that in a dismissive way. People in entertainment (both critics and influencers) need fame; that's their career. I get that.

FINISH YOUR EPSTEIN FILES!
Wait, so if they have spare FBI officers available to raid the Fulton County Election Hub, I can only imagine that the Epstein files are finally redacted and ready for release. 🤔🤷🏼‍♂️

Gee, the pigs are always SO fucking helpful. Any comments on this one, @governorwalz.mn.gov ? State patrol are under your purview, right?

That's right, but he also did a load of good things, and the fact that those are not forefront in your memories is precisely due to the failure of messaging we're talking about.
