I like that sort of interpretation that it is essentially that the hunter, while a predator and threat to many of them, was also one of them and not some outside, alien being. A participant in the cycle.

There's this looming brutalist court building in London Ontario (not THE london) and when I was in school there I remember walking by it on the street on an overcast, drab, grey day and looked up as a bunch of crows flew off its roof. It had this excellent grim, intimidating aesthetic
