I love this type of mecha where the entire idea of "giant humanoid robot" has been rendered entirely arbitrary. Like, it IS all pf those things, but the form factor & shapes don't actually matter. It's an angel, it's a weapon, it's barley a machine at all. RahXephon also fits what I mean by this.

This combination of repurposed old architecture with "Industrial Deco" additions is another part of my idea. I imagine the extremity of the style to be something like the 2nd image, but using the arcing, wing-like shapes from the 4th.

I meant Art Deco, & the most Gatsby & overwrought of Art Deco at that!!!! I love the best aspects of Art Deco as well, but you gotta admit that at its worst it's like standing inside a Tiffany & Co. necklace for a 100-foot tall giant.
