I hail from the frigid Northlands.

Mainly post about running, strength training, being outdoors, and I share pictures of food unapologetically.

Next up - Spartan Trifecta?

I love tacos and coffee equally.
Oof, wish I had known before. Both Toys R Us in my city are closed for Family Day and there's no online option to spend 'em.

That's still a great run, even with the DOMS! I'm still trying to get a good tempo of running and strength training. It's tough! I almost feel like I'm starting over running - the mind and the cardio are willing, but the legs are sore. 😅

I love them! If I'm lucky, I get to see wild turkeys. 😄🦃

I'm trying not to be cynical about this grocery benefit but I worry it doesn't address the root of the problem and may have the opposite effect, resulting in higher prices. The stores exist to maximize profit, and if we're given a rebate, they'll seek to capitalize on that.

Badly behaved dogs (and their owners) are the worst! In my neighborhood the trend is getting small fancy dogs and apparently never training or socializing them. I love dogs but I've been tempted to throw a few into the river. 😄

That's a really good point. I'll try to convince the fam to join me, but a final skate by myself would be lovely, too.

I feel betrayed that it looks so beautiful and sunny out, but my face freezes in under a minute. 😄

My teenagers. 😬 Getting them to put on hats and gloves and zip up their coats is like trying to saddle wild broncos. You won't look cool to all your friends with no ears or fingers, kids.

For the first time in my life I'm happy that I've already bought far more books than I can ever read in my lifetime. I could theoretically coast on that backlog without ever having to research whether the next book I want to buy is churned out AI slop. 😅

Good on you for getting through that! Everytime I read a post from folks braving the elements, it inspires me to stop being such a fairweather runner. 😄

This was a great listen. I use AI often and it's so natural-sounding now, it's easy to forget it's an algorithm that's adapted its responses to be appealing to me. Me and my husband have asked our AIs the same objective question and got vastly different answers.

Beautiful! It was a tough call for me between skiing and skating. I picked skiing today but hopefully we get another day like this soon. I want to make it to the canal again.
