I may not have explained myself well: I'm saying that they build infrastructure with enough capacity for future expansion, so increasing density in existing housing does not necessarily mean the infrastructure must be immediately upgraded.

Correct me if I'm wrong: They overbuiid sewers and other infrastructure so they don't need to replace it due to population growth. right? So when people claim that densification is also expensive due to requiring infrastructure upgrades are misinformed?

I don't mind taxpayer money going to traffic calming. I'd rather the money from speed cameras doing it.

Wait, the main point was we should all just drive motorcycles alongside the cars, a type of vehicle that is the most dangerous in traffic because car drivers often don't see them and take them out, as well as the risk of hitting a small stone and crashing?

As a single-child household a back yard can be a lonely place. Better to go explore the neighbourhood and meet new friends.

City of Ottawa: Build safe streets for pedestrians and cyclists instead of prioritizing cars heavily. Stop thinking a bsky post is going to change driver behaviour and look at what actually changes driver behaviour.

Exactly. These are better than an actual truck (which also sometimes inhabits the bike lane) and the solution is wider bike lanes.

I wish we could do more than just ask drivers nicely to not kill our kids. Surely someone in the world has found solutions to make roads actually safer. We should institute them here.
