Cars might work fine in California or Florida, but they’re not practical here in Canada. We have winter.

The ON government will bypass committee hearings entirely on Bill 60. 😡

This gov. is:
➡️ putting people’s lives at risk
➡️ stripping cities of the power to make their streets safe for people outside cars

We can’t afford to remain silent. Voice your opposition now! 👇

Bill 60: Ontario government bypasses democratic process
After steamrolling through Bill 56 that bans speed cameras, the Ontario government is planning on bypassing the democratic process again (ie no public committee hearings) for Bill 60, the so-called…

I'm glad someone is doing this. The government is making the streets mess safe and should be held responsible.
If you're driving, speed & hit someone, you're at fault. But, that doesn't mean that government's who encourage or facilitate dangerous driving are blameless. If you're in a collision w a speeding driver where a speed camera was removed email us: [email protected] 1/2

Some polling was done for Lansdowne 2.0, lo and behold the top issue for people polled was improving transportation to Lansdowne. What better way to provide better access to Lansdowne than safe, dedicated 24/7 bus lanes?

Hey Ontario! You've heard of the disastrous Ford bill to destroy tenant rights, but did you know that Omnibus Bill 60 would entirely wipe out the ability of cities to right-size their roads by reducing lanes _at all_, not even just for bike lanes?

“If the new omnibus bill becomes law, corporate interests will succeed in setting every city in Ontario back by a decade: more cyclists and pedestrians will be killed by cars, and more carbon emitted on our roads will intensify climate change. And traffic won’t even get better.” 👇
Doug Ford’s Ontario Govt plan to ban bike lanes “is ripped from the business lobby’s wish list…Ford’s war on bikes is more than a vendetta—it’s a gift to corporate lobbyists.”

It’ll make Ontario’s cities weaker, less competitive, more polluted, & more dangerous for everyone. AND the traffic worse.

Niagara Police are looking for the driver of a white dodge ram pick up who hit, ran and killed a cyclist around 6pm on August 12, Welland Rd and Effingham St. Send them info if you got it! This shameless horrific act cannot stand:

Cyclists shouldn't have to stop at stop signs, and I say this as one who does.

Driver's already don't stop at stop signs, and they often pass or nearly rear end me at stop signs when I do stop. It's safer not to stop.

A very small sampling of videos that I have on hand right now:

Happy to contribute to the theme of "things you can put in a cargo bike"

Took my dog up to Pink Lake (not to walk the trail though) on a rented e-trike.

She liked it, but not as much as I'd hoped.

Went camping for the first time in decades. One of the perks of being married to a Guider is she knows exactly what she's doing. These photographs were taken along the Coureur De Bois trail in Voyageur Provincial Park.

Took a detour on my bike ride today down a path I've walked past many times. This rail bridge crossed Green's Creek and was dismantled in the 40s.

So sick of the gaslighting BS that adding a bike lane to a high speed stroad w/ 4-6 car lanes + 2 parking lanes & 1-2 turning lanes will "remove access for cars" when having no bike lane in actuality is a de facto ban on bikes on high speed corridors which usually don't have low speed alternatives.

Artists have long helped the public understand war through their art.

In this example from 2025, the artist attempts to explain what it feels like to be a human in the War on Cars.

It is captioned "Aces of the War on Cars"

The parkway was bike-only but I took the river path.

What a disappointing, cowardly, response to an illegal attack. What will you say when the US says they need to bomb Canada for their national security?

Imagine letting 143 people slow down thousands of cars an hour? Ridiculous!

Wait, that's backwards: 143 cars slowing down thousands of people.

That's 7% of the parking supply!

Oh, don't forget how much faster traffic will flow when people aren't stopping to park.
We've rented out ads, thanks to our wonderful members, at the Mayfair for Bus Lanes on Bank Street! Keep an eye out for it if you go see a showing!

We'll also be putting up posters! If you have a lobby in your building, or a supportive business, reach out and we can discuss getting you one as well!
