It was legitimately depressing, the guy wanted to explore and go do things with us, and he did do that from time to time when she would let him, but eventually we stopped asking if he wanted to join us for stuff because the answer was always "my wife won't go". We all met her, we knew why.

I love my kids and I just can't understand why people would ever pressure anyone into parenthood. My wife and I made a choice, and everyone else should get to make it, too. There are no wrong answers!

Had a buddy who I met while stationed in Germany. His (homeschooled, religious, Texan) wife refused to eat anyplace that wasn't the Chili's or Macaroni Grill on Ramstein Air Base. They never went on vacation because of it, and he was there for *three years*. Hers was a choice not to integrate.

I remember his brief stint as a member of the Timber Rattlers on his way up to the bigs, and he has a joy for just playing the game. He had fun when was out there, and it rubbed off on the guys around him. Still does! It's refreshing.
