There is value in refusing to legitimize the words of a madman. Public polling is on this issue is insane, Rs are upside down 30/70, and they're the only ones taking it seriously. People don't need Dems yelling about this, they know and they know it's bad. Engaging will lend credibility.
Anyone who still believes once Trump is gone the US will return back to becoming an engaged and committed ally of Europe, just needs to take a look at how many Democrats are responding to the Greenland talk with "we need to focus on problems at home".

A quick reminder: these are government employees. Their identities are *supposed* to be public record. Cops wear name tags and badges with numbers that can be used to search public databases. When I was in the Army, I was often required to wear my full uniform in public. Without a mask!
