There's case after case now where you get quick charges, almost certainly demanded from political appointees. Discovery producers evidence that rules out guilt. Prosecutors usually aren't willing to hide that evidence. Charges dismissed.

you have a bunch of sanctimonious centrists lecturing everyone about whether comparisons between the masked paramilitary police arresting people on flimsy premises and taking them to horrific unregulated facilities, meanwhile 80 year old grandparents in florida are like yeah this is like the gestapo

Fucking Bobby.
There needs to be some serious accountability for the colossal harm to life these absolute demons have caused, and will cause. Life in prison is the moderate option.

This questioning is very good. More of this from lawmakers, please
Trump nominated a legit white nationalist to a top post at the State Department. I asked him some basic questions about his belief in the “erasure of white culture”. Watch this embarrassing, fumbling answer. Like he has never before been asked to explain his views.

AI satellite factory on the moon? Giant space catapult? Self-sustaining city on the moon? A billion daily active users on X?

Elon Musk made all these predictions in an internal meeting with xAI employees last night. We listened in.

RON JOHNSON: Did you ever encourage people to go out there and exercise their First Amendment rights?

MORENO: Will you condemn Louis Farrakhan's comments that Judaism is a dirty religion?

ELLISON: I thought I came here to talk about immigration policy

MORENO: It's disgusting we have a witness who will not condemn that. The fact we have a witness of that low caliber is an insult to this institution
we've reached the portion of the hearing where Republicans (specifically Bernie Moreno) are making baseless insinuations that Keith Ellison is antisemitic and demanding he denounce Louis Farrakhan

Hawley ended up getting so aggressive toward Ellison, including calling for his arrest, that even Rand Paul asked him to tone it down

Ron Johnson is an embarrassment to the Republican Party. And that is saying a lot.
Ron Johnson to Keith Ellison: "Two people are dead because you encouraged them to put themselves into harm's way! And now you are exploiting those two martyrs. You ought to feel damn guilty about it. Yeah, sit there and smirk. Smirk. It's sick! It's despicable. You disgust me."

It doesn't get any more pathetic than this.

Get a passport card too. It costs an extra 30 bucks but it's easier to carry than your passport.

Crazy, tyrannical bullshit but here we are.

Right. This is the actual concern and it's very real:

I guess the American people are fine with the Attorney General of the U.S. behaving like a nasty 5th grade playground bully on national television? I suppose that explains a lot about how we got to where we are. The fact that someone like this is in a position of such high authority says it all.

So the feds ARE NOT considering an mRNA vaccine for the flu, which could save countless lives, but ARE backing research into whether horse dewormer can cure cancer, because the right views vaccines as elite and ivermectin as populist.

Cool.

FDA won’t review Moderna application for first mRNA-based flu vaccine
The decision, which shocked company officials, comes as the FDA says it will take a stricter approach to federal vaccine approvals.

Republicans - Refuse to wear masks to save lives, but gleefully put them on to end lives.
FOX NEWS: When it comes to masks & federal agents, is that something Republicans will stand firm on?

HUSTED: That's something for the president, and Tom Homan, & DHS to determine what's safe. It's been below 0 in Mpls. If you're going to be doing work outside, having a mask on is a practical issue

Still waiting with bated breath for the Supreme Court to decide whether this is just fine because we are functionally a monarchy now.
Trump: "So I put on a 30% tariff, which is very low. I got an emergency call from I believe the prime minister of Switzerland. She was very aggressive ... I didn't really like the way she talked to us, so instead of giving her a reduction, I raised it to 39%."

During the Japanese Internment, their property was confiscated by the government and/or sold for as little as 10% of their value to locals.

I just wonder what happens to immigrants' homes and other property when they're send to a camp and deported?
Has anyone read or seen anything ab out what's happening to all the property left behind by the immigrants ICE is snatching and deporting?

These absolute chuds have no idea what the word "politics" means.

The US regime has tried to make ethnic identity (outside of white Christian male) a matter of shame. Last night's show was an unapologetic celebration of ethnic identity.

That's political.
Analysis: Weeks before he set foot on the stage, Bad Bunny’s halftime performance had already become a media event.

But if you were looking for political commentary, the closest that you got was when he said “God bless America” in English.
Analysis | Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show was expected to provoke. Did it?
The Bad Bunny Super Bowl show nodded to injustices in Puerto Rico but mostly evoked wholesome family values that meshed with the more sentimental commercials.

And we wonder how Donald Trump could have possibly won in 2016 and 2024.
There's no "centrist" difference-splitting on this. We have to make clear that some beliefs held by loud pressure groups are simply contrary to democracy, and we can't indulge them.
Great read - bottom line, a fifth of Americans think we’d be better off if women couldn’t vote. And it’s a pretty even across race and ethnicity.
