Seems like every day some senator who voted to confirm RFK Jr is pissed off at him about something.

Every Democrat in Congress should put out a video saying troops have an obligation to refuse unlawful orders. Make them prosecute all of you. This isn't a close call.

I'd add Republicans too if I thought any of them had the courage to actually cross Trump on this.
Hegseth is now threatening to recall Sen. Mark Kelly to active duty in order to court martial him.

Probably a good idea for the enlisted personnel to read up a little bit about the Nuremberg trials. That didn't work out very well for some people.
BLITZER: I want to be precise. Should members of the US military obey clearly illegal orders?

McCLAIN: You're asking an enlisted person for their opinion on what they think is legal. That's a pretty slippery slope. Follow your commander in chief. That's the oath that you took

(Not a no!)

That's the brain worm talking I don't care what Nuzzi says.
“One day [trump] sat on the plane with me. We were talking about Syria, and he drew a map of the Mideast for me. And it was a perfect map,” Kennedy told me. “Then he drew in the troop strength of each country, and also the troop strength on various borders.”
NEW: When RFK Jr. first told Trump that Tylenol might cause autism, the president wanted to tweet out a warning. Kennedy told him not to do that. There was nuance, and the drug companies would push back. “I don’t give a shit about that,” Trump responded. www.theatlantic.com/magazine/202...

FFS. Rubio says that today was a very positive development, huge progress! The best day they've ever had!!

Of course, it's just the US and Russia at the table and they all agree Ukraine should surrender and give Putin everything he wants.

Ukraine has not been consulted.

Right. It will all be so much better if you're wearing fancy clothes when you're stuck in the airport for 12 extra hours. You just feel happier. It's common sense.
FOX: During the Biden administration, there was a push for greater passenger rights. They wanted to have airlines compensate people if there was a delay or cancelation. But that is something the Trump admin has said they don't want to do

DUFFY: We took a more common sense approach to it

Then why didn't he just say that? Any normal person would have calmly said, "Of course no one should follow illegal orders and we do not issue them." Instead he got hysterical and basically said "how dare they say not to follow my illegal orders! I'll give any orders I want & they WILL follow them."
WELKER: Are you confident that every order President Trump gives is lawful?

BESSENT: What I am confident of is that this was a display of gross, gross negligence here

I, for one, have only really thought about the VRA through the prism of federal elections, not local elections.

But this well-reported piece reminds us that ending the VRA will have an impact on ALL levels of representative government.

Should note: Pew is showing us mass ideological groupings, which don't necessarily aligns with elites. Elites dominate ideological discourse, but what trickles down, much less is accepted, is quite contingent. So no surprise elites being more tightly, coherently organized & mischaracterizing masses.
Two parties but 3 ideological groupings?

Speaking as someone with vivid childhood memories of my family remaining glued to Fairbanks radio stations for critical community updates and even personal messages in the days following the '64 earthquake, and who later worked in Alaskan broadcasting for 13 years, I find this particularly enraging.
KYUK is the only public radio station in remote Alaska that regularly broadcasts in the Yugtun language, providing a crucial lifeline to the Indigenous communities in the area.

After Congress slashed its budget, the station isn't sure how it'll survive.

There really is no doubt, is there? The White House leaked the draft to Axios and made a bunch of comments. It's halfwit Witkoffs baby.He thinks he made a "deal" because he got some business stuff in there for the U.S.

Trump was busy redecorating the White House pantry and didn't know about it.
I'm skeptical that Trump's make Ukraine surrender plan wasn't real.

Trump envoy Witkoff negotiated it, details and threats to Ukraine were public for multiple days, and Rubio didn't dispute it then, only after the plan got a bad reception and rejected by Europe.

Look like attempting to save face.
Republican Senator Mike Rounds said Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in a call to senators, confirmed the so-called 28-point “peace plan” was actually a Russian wishlist and is “not the administration’s position”. Nor is there any threat to cut off weapons or intelligence to Ukraine.
