cancelling Disney+ and Hulu is well and good but it’s not a huge hit on an individual level
but Disney adults? people who spend real money at the parks? you guys can make a dent, call ‘em up and tell them your vacation is postponed until they pull their heads out of their asses

Heard from a friend at Disney+ that there are multiple levels of freakout internally, both from internal dissatisfaction, concerns about subscription cancelations, and of course the big one: concern about a boycott spilling over into parks and cruises.

I cannot emphasize how much of a difference it makes to say "you've expressed some [negative reaction] about x" instead of "you always complain about x"
For some reason it isn't obvious to folks why someone doesn't respond well to being told they're "complaining" for expressing a concern

Hockey practice and rock climbing are both 90% convincing my body to do something that my conscious mind is confident we can do and my unconscious mind is absolutely sure will kill us and WILL impose paralysis to avoid

We have a new, very outgoing CEO who is taking his role very seriously and likes to be very involved, which means that at my Big Age of 33 I now have to learn that "let's discuss face to face" is a courtesy and does not mean that I am In Trouble.

Every so often I get really frustrated about something very specific in hockey and then I remember that 3mo ago I was saying that I thought I needed a "WARNING CANNOT STOP" shirt to wear at the rink for the safety of others and now I essentially. Do not think about stopping. I just stop.

The worst (best?) part of hockey is that eating food on a regular schedule is mandatory. Oh, did you want to burn 715 calories an hour for 3hrs today? Yeah, you can't skip lunch then or your legs Just Won't Go. Sorry 'bout it.

So so excited to go on a camping trip that isn't about anyone else. Love taking folks on first camping trips, trips to new to them places, backpacking for the first time... But man I cannot wait to sit at camp in a place I know well and just Be In Nature in silence.
