To rephrase this slightly to make it correct - grading of assignments in courses for math and physics courses tends to be more objective than grading of assignments in the arts and humanities. That's not the same as the discipline itself being objective but it's also not nothing.
Maths and physics are objective and humanities is subjective.

That's the difference.

"I got divorced and my daughter hates me" is literally the most common mode of right wing radicalization in middle aged men
i love that rightwingers genuinely seem to believe that political ideology is a set genetic inheritable trait

Millennials were the generation least impacted by the pandemic but on the other hand we have an enduring belief that no one has ever had it harder than us
reminds me of a friend who explained why recent years have felt so weird to so many millennials here and it’s because “we went into the pandemic young people and came out of it old”
I spoke to a woman at the protest in minneapolis and she explained she wanted to be there in part because "i was a kid when george floyd got killed" and i nearly dropped my recorder

Ok people are misunderstanding what happened with Colin Wright. This isn't just a regular grift. What happened is Colin Wright's PhD advisor was Jonathan Pruitt who got caught perpetrating massive academic fraud. Pruitt was a coauthor on virtually everything Colin had published.
This guy *admits* he applied for "countless" tenure-track positions and ultimately had to leave academia because nobody would hire him. He claims, though, that Ivy League Cornell filled their position with a Black person who couldn't possibly be more qualified than him.

If this was something that his base actually *wanted* then he would be doing these high-profile ICE raids in, say, Alabama. But he knows that this way of doing things is a punishment, so he will not inflict it on states that voted for it. /2

Hey MAGA did warn us about importing petty old-world ethnic hatred
Absolutely crazy that Mehmet Oz is calling Armenian a "dialect" while trying to gin up a crackdown on alleged systemic fraud (which he blames on ethnic organized crime)

Amusingly, Justice Stevens, who wrote the dissent for four justices, argued that Congress has the authority to compel local and state officials to enforce federal law in times of emergency (then, the gun violence epidemic), which some liberals would certainly hate if it had prevailed now . . .
In Printz v. United States, #SCOTUS held that the Constitution bars the federal government from forcing or otherwise compelling local or state governments to enforce federal law.

The liberal squish who wrote the majority opinion in that case? Justice Antonin Scalia:

Bari Weiss is playing a very dangerous game when she reframes her job from "make CBS News more conservative" to "retooling a multimedia empire" because she has even less experience with the latter.
