I'm up to date with my crochet temperature blanket for once! It's getting pretty big - at 65 inches it's longer than I am tall.

And it looks like the blanket passed Hector's inspection.

First four large squares completed and all ends sewn in! Only another five to go (and some sort of border, but I'll work that out when I get there).

Pattern is Spirit of the Stars by Sarah Athey in Stylecraft Special DK 🧶

I don't have too many examples of hats for this week's #ShowMeYourKnits prompt (and even fewer with decent photos) but I used to knit them for my husband to wear while running.

Mostly knitted in 2x2 rib in yarns from Posh Yarn.

I got way behind with my crochet blanket as I ran out of the light yellow and then ordered the wrong shade so had to reorder the correct one.

Nearly caught up - finished the whole of September and the first couple of days of October.
A crochet blanket laid out (mostly) flat. The blanket is made up of hexagons in colours reflecting the daily weather conditions, and go from shades of blue at the bottom (i.e. the beginning of the year) through green, yellow and pink as temperatures warm up. At the top of the picture the yellow shades return as we move into autumn and the weather cools down.

My mum has been admiring the knitted chickens in the window of her local craft shop for a while, so what else could I do...

I got the shaping on the base a bit wrong (not paying enough attention), but I think she's still pretty cute.

For many years, I've had both a filter coffee machine and a capsule machine. Both have been getting increasingly unreliable recently so I've taken the opportunity to replace both with one device, gaining both worktop space and a plug socket...
My shiny new coffee machine! It has a glass carafe for filter coffee on the left and a coffee pod system to the right. On the worktop to the left of the machine is a (very) old burr grinder, and to the right is a white door with a frosted glass panel.

I've been doing a bit of sorting through stuff lately (I need to declutter a lot before I can move) and came across an old sixth form photo. Featuring possibly the best haircut I've ever had, thanks to a training salon when I was in London for a uni interview.
