The one redeeming feature of #GameOfWool is that it's on when I have my weekly call with my mum, so we can spend the time snarking at the show (rather than the knitters).

I'm up to date with my crochet temperature blanket for once! It's getting pretty big - at 65 inches it's longer than I am tall.
And it looks like the blanket passed Hector's inspection.

The only good thing about the resident feline having dementia is that five minutes after absolutely savaging me for trying to deal with the mats developing in his chest fur, he's completely forgotten about it and is purring away.

I don't have too many examples of hats for this week's #ShowMeYourKnits prompt (and even fewer with decent photos) but I used to knit them for my husband to wear while running.
Mostly knitted in 2x2 rib in yarns from Posh Yarn.

A little (in more than one sense) happy happy from this morning. I don't think I've seen a wren on the bird feeder before, though I know they live nearby as I often hear them.

I got way behind with my crochet blanket as I ran out of the light yellow and then ordered the wrong shade so had to reorder the correct one.

This cartoon reminds me so much of the mortgage advisor when we were buying our first house. He was *so* insistent on trying to sell us an endowment mortgage - we had to sign a letter saying that we were going against his professional advice in choosing a standard repayment one...

My mum has been admiring the knitted chickens in the window of her local craft shop for a while, so what else could I do...
I got the shaping on the base a bit wrong (not paying enough attention), but I think she's still pretty cute.
