Mainlander living in Tasmania but get to travel 🌏 to help governments & communities prepare for 🦟🐛 & 🦠 outbreaks
Human anchor slowing down an English Pointer on walks & occasional runs
Also still trying to play grade/masters cricket so expect cricket talk
Fair call, it’d make more sense to line the Lions up with some Sheffield Shield teams rather than AUS A

The hypocrisy underpinning English cricket is strong

Precisely, I’m avoiding any maths relating to the per head cost or change to population.

How many professionals (physio’s etc)? Be lucky if there’s 1 p.a. My son is in the umpiring dev’t pathway & in the past 3 years 2 of his counterparts moved interstate to improve their opportunities. A team may create a handful of positions to bring highly skilled professionals in & retain a few more

With no team, you’d count the players leaving Tasmania on 1 hand - at best 2-3 AFL draft picks & <10 going to interstate leagues to improve their future draft chances. With a team, possibly a dozen will come but they’ll mostly be young singles and if not contracted in the future will leave again.

Wow, what a trip!

It’ll be interesting to hear about the level of impact HPAI has had on Heard

Throughout the day, we’ll provide updates on research projects covering irrigation, the role of insects in agriculture, zero net emissions, pyrethrum disease detection & potato mop-top virus as well as hold a guided farm walk to see the research trials in action.

Seeing Clarke and/or Franklin expand north would make sense in terms of reducing the geographical spread of Lyons. It certainly seemed that Prospect and Blackstone were added to Lyons solely on the basis of balancing population numbers on a spreadsheet rather than any commonality in the communities

nothing to do with Mitch Owens taking the pace bowlers apart 🤨

It was dismissed pretty quickly and I haven’t heard anything from them for months. Their website is still live - www.stadiaprecinct.com
Mac Point 2.0
Our vision is to create a unique Tasmanian Community Precinct. It will be an example of modern design excellence and create a sense of pride for the people of Tasmania.

I still can’t see why the private consortium’s Stadium 2.0 proposal is being dismissed out of hand…. other than the political affiliations of some of the proponents. Alternatively, why can’t the gov’t backed proposal move to that site where there is less impact as noted in the TPC and other reviews?

If you have purchased these nappy pants or any goods with signs of insect or pest activity:

▪ Do not use or dispose of the goods or packaging
▪ Seal the goods and packaging in a bag
▪ Report it by calling 1800 798 636 or visiting the DAFF website

Khapra beetle is a serious biosecurity risk - www.agriculture.gov.au/biosecurity-trade/pests-diseases-weeds/plant/identify/khapra-beetle

The nappy pants were sold nationally only through Woolworths stores and no other nappy sizes or brands are considered to be affected at this stage.

It’s just that some are scared of how big they get and would prefer them in bite sized pieces

yes, there should be energy security although we already have the Basslink connector that *should* do this

There is a history of glossy brochures put out as business cases by this gov’t that don’t withstand scrutiny - see below by 1 of our independents.
