NHS GP Federation CEO. Not a GP/clinician.

Ex artillery forward observer, with dodgy knees and hearing.

Favourite comment about me: "His comms style is like a brick through a window."
Just for fun, I looked at our local Cineworld’s bookings for this tonight. Prime cinema bookings time. 3 people, inc one guy on his own in the back corner.

The seats chosen make me wonder if this is just the cinema blocking out a few of the worst seats to not have a completely empty booking sheet.

I have no idea why I have an account with that DNA ancestry website...

Yay! My first 2027 meeting invite that isn't a recurring meeting invite.

A reminder folks that Soylent Green is people! And that was so 2022. Just have your cabbage and don't complain.

Imagine even a year ago the US going so far off track with something that it unites Starmer, Badenoch, Davey, and even Farage.

Every time I go past the Kindertransport statue at London Liverpool Street station I stop to look at it and remind myself why the only appropriate response to xenophobes and racists is “fuck off”.

And much the same goes for their appeasers.

(Yes, yes, I get it that I've used ChatGPT to generate this image, just go with it...)

I think this is tone deaf, showing they don’t get it, this paragraph shows why.

In reality too many people just want to be able to comfortably pay their bills, being richer is a different subject altogether.

Deprivation and destitution won’t be improved by focussing on making people “richer”.

Going through old photos and this one popped up from autumn 2020. No, I didn't really enjoy the NHS COVID-19, thank you very much.

Personally, it was a good year.

A life goal ticked off in getting to the Taj Mahal, it really was better than my very highest expectations.

3st of weight lost (19kg). Gone from properly fat to just overweight. My hypertension has reduced from "oh Craig" from my GP to "optimal".

I always get a raised eyebrow for a second or two when I get this email each year, wondering what I've done, before I remember that it really is just the annual email reminding me of their codes of ethics and conduct.

Apologies for the sweary word, but this popped up as a “memory” on my phone from December 2020. A “tour” badge of the type the military like sent to me by a mate.

Paneer in blankets. Something different to try!

It’s been a tiring November, we’re both feeling it, so the Christmas tree is up early.

Decoration draft 1, no lights or tinsel. May not bother with either as I like it as is.

Which album had the biggest influence on you as a teenager?

Probably this.

Car MOT done, passed first time as always, will take it past its 20th year. Why would I want anything else?!
November 24, 2025 at 2:49 PM
Well, that’s interesting. Lowest BP seen in years. And at the end of a working day as well.

Just got home and it started snowing. Come on Suffolk, this is just not on. If I wanted snow in November I’d move back to Scotland.

Last holiday pic. Each evening they had a piper go round the lobby, lobby bar and front area. And then you got a free whisky from the folk who followed him.

One of the real pleasures of our trip to India was a 24hr trip to Agra, including a sunrise 4hr tour of the Taj Mahal.

It was spectactular. You just cannot experience it properly through pictures. I would recommend it to everyone to make time to get there if possible.

Ahh, back to work on a lovely sunny day. I think someone forgot to put 50p in the meter for the heating though.

And home. 17 days in India with my wife visiting her family and trying to have some downtime.

I’ll post some pics when I get time, but here’s a taster of a 24hr trip to Agra.

First ever 1* Uber rating given. If I could give 0* I would have.

Of course my rating remains 5*

“We missed you, Chris - come back to Labour”.

Hmmm. Not a good start.

But, no anyway. Not until I see convincing and repeated evidence of:

- the end of the appeasement of racists and xenophobes; and
- the end of the scapegoating of people on benefits.
