Is there any sort of time limit on this baseball game, 11pm in LA and 2am in New York, ratings must be falling off by now.

Maybe each inning after the 15th each side loses a fielder, continue until there is only a pitcher and catcher left to defend. It would eventually end the game

I was just in Australia giving the Boyer Lecture. It's an economist's love letter to his home country. It's also relevant to the current American moment, as the main point is to link institutions with prosperity.

I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.

“Get Smart” premieres 60 years ago tonight, on NBC.

“I was sick of looking at all those nice, sensible situation comedies,” Mel Brooks said. “They were such distortions of life. .. No one had ever done a show about an idiot before. I decided to be the first.”
