Trump Russia Timeline: Paul Manafort's Griftapalooza

Wonder how Trump's nonstop grifting will end? It helps to remember that Viktor Yanukovych, Paul Manafort's pro-Putin candidate in Ukraine, was ousted by the Orange Revolution and EuroMaidan protests.

Guy isn't just making it tough for democracy and progress in the US, he's making it tough for democracy globally.

The gas station X mafia state masquerading as a country which has long been the hand that fed him, must be happy.

#30 Trump's Russian Laundromat: The South Florida Edition (2003-2010's)

Trump's Russian laundromat was not confined to New York or his overseas properties. In South Florida as well, Russians gobbled up Trump condos via all-cash, anonymous transactions. open.substack.com/pub/craigung...

It is amazing how nearly all U.S. news now is marked by endless bouts of crisis, confrontation, and standoffs, not imposed by any outside circumstances, but by the government of the United States itself: purposely in order to divide and weaken the country.
What a disastrous self-own by the voters.

Distorted Reality Fields

If millions of American don't seem to have a clue as to what is really going on, that's no accident. It's part of a Russian assault--aided by Donald Trump-- that's been in the works for some time. open.substack.com/pub/craigung...

If you wonder why the hell no one understands what's going on, the answer is that it's not an accident, and it's been in the works for some time.

One of our leading water and climate scientists—National Academy of Sciences member Peter Gleick—is out here doing what all of scientists and public intellectuals are called to do: stand up for our common humanity, explicate and condemn profound injustices.

Thank you for your voice here.

What Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth are doing off the coast of Venezuela are war crimes.

Intentionally attacking civilians is a war crime and a fundamental violation of international humanitarian law (IHL), also known as the laws of war.

Everyone blames the “voters” for Trump. I blame those who didn’t hold him accountable. We got him not because of voters but because of cowards. Kinda feels complicit in hindsight.

In 2021, Surkov explained that, in order to keep the order (Putin’s rule) inside the country, Russia had to export chaos outside by sowing division in other countries. "Social entropy is highly toxic. Working with it in our own homes is not recommended. It needs to be removed somewhere far away."
Social entropy is highly toxic. Working with it in our own homes is not recommended. It needs to be removed somewhere far away. Exported for disposal on foreign soil.
Exporting chaos is nothing new. "Divide and rule" is an ancient formula. Division is synonymous with chaos. Unite your own + divide the enemy = you will rule both. Relieving internal tension (which Lev Gumilev vaguely called passionarity) through external expansion. The Romans did it. All empires do it. For centuries, the Russian state, with its harsh and sedentary political interior, survived solely through a relentless pursuit of its own borders. It long ago forgot how, and most likely never knew how, to survive by other means. For Russia, constant expansion is not just an idea, but a genuine existential imperative of our historical existence.

I’m confused how it is despicable to ask that question. These are exactly the kinds of questions we have been begging reporters & TV hosts to ask. You see when they do get asked how sensitive they are about it. Much, much more of this. More crypto questions, Qatar, UAE, etc bsky.app/profile/atru...

One of the biggest mistakes left-of-center pundits and influencers made was decamping to Bluesky. They made themselves irrelevant, shrunk their audiences, and dramatically lessened the positive impact they could have on our public debate at the precise time we needed it most.
