Top stands out a lot more for me!

Top: stands out, matches the app UI & is more friendly and open, appeals more to nervous speakers

Bottom: looks clean & minimalistic, appeals to professionals but the yellow arc is competing a little with the yellow text & it doesn’t grab attention quite as much

For sure, in the moment everything can feel so heavy, it helps to put it into perspective when you look back on things though!

I really appreciate that! It’s so interesting to hear the different use cases for this app beyond just sending simple letters to yourself!

I use it a fair bit for mental health too, I have a bad day, I send myself a letter, then when I open it I realise it wasn’t all that bad and I got through it

Unfortunately not as I only develop for iOS, but there are a few web based versions that offer the same kind of concept!

Thanks so much! The app itself is fairly simplistic but let me know if you have any ideas for future updates

I built it to replace a different service that went to a paid model, I send myself a letter every new year, and each month too to keep myself on track with goals and accountability

I really appreciate your insights! I think I’m just gonna pick one of my ideas and run with it, each one is something I’d use anyway so we’ll just see what happens😅

Thank you! I agree with that completely. My biggest issue I think is that I’m worried of spending time on something that doesn’t amount to anything

If I’m my first user though, I guess it won’t be for nothing so I should really focus on that instead!

That’s exactly the book I’m reading through right now for that exact reason! I’m gonna have to change my approach, otherwise I’ll finish the year with 100’s of ideas and nothing shipped 😂

Really glad to hear it helped you, there’s hope for me yet

Ahh I get you! That makes perfect sense now

That’s a great idea, it explains exactly what the user is looking at without needing to add a tooltip or similar. Could try testing the ring on the left being full colour/not transparent too to represent the ring on the right being full as a total?

Or I could also interpret it as 33% towards progress on the remaining wins too?
January 3, 2026 at 1:31 PM
Ui looks great! To answer your question, I’d personally look at this and think that it’s a percentage of my wins vs my goals so I’d expect 50% if this is 2 wins out of 4 goals
January 3, 2026 at 1:30 PM
Absolutely! It’s been a dream to work with, everything is so concise

Local notifications are going great in testing and users have reported them coming through on their short term letters, so all seems well!
