These trees look like they have enough light. They put some trees in next to some retail /apartments by my house, but the trees were on the north side of the building and *close* to the building, so they got no light and died.

They just ripped out the stumps last month.

Anyway my point is my shoulders still hurt as does my ass from sitting on the unpadded aluminum canoe seat

I went out on a canoe for the first time in a while. A stiff wind blew us all the way to the other side of the lake in about 6-7 minutes.

The rest of the canoe rental time was “struggle to make it across the lake then fish for 15 minutes”

Back when I first got here, I said something like the strength, longevity, and general experience of this place would be determined by how well and how quickly they implemented a strong culture of moderation and codes of values.

So. I was right about that.
