Also you can change the routers channel to get further from the microwave's 2.4ghz exact frequency. For example if you are on channel 2 now, move to channel 10 or 11 (opposite end of the spectrum).

Use the 5GHz band (not the 2.4ghz) if possible.
Narrow the channel width to 20mhz in the 2.4ghz band settings. Also some routers have a B/G protection option (turn this on) and 2.4ghz interference options (look in the firmware).
