Nineteen TV pilots, three movies and so much more. Writing was my escape when I was young, will it ever be my future?

Documents. Pictures. Music. Videos. Long ago, the four folders lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Music folder attacked. Only the 3D Objects, master of all four folders, could stop them, but when the world needed them most, they vanished.

I hope that once I see a full paycheck I'll feel more secure about my ability to pay rent and eat. I hope that once I get my books in I can work up the courage to go to B&N and ask to do a signing event. I hope that one day I'll feel like I'm back on my feet.

I explore the town a bit on my days off but it's very cold and I wound up getting sick. All I do is halfheartedly watch things on the internet when I get off work. I'm so stressed out about everything now that it all feels pointless.

I've tried video games, but those don't entertain me anymore; in the back of my mind all I can think of is "what's the point?"

I write a little on my lunch breaks, but nothing as substantial as I used to. I don't drink nearly as much coffee anymore, which might be a good thing.

I haven't cooked anything in weeks, my first couple meals were chicken salad sandwiches but now I've been eating beef jerky and protein bars for food this last week. Lunches at work are healthier because I grab an apple and a couple pre-cooked eggs.

Yes! I have a few books published, including a children's picture book and a poetry book. You can find my work below! I've been trying to get other stores to carry my books but I haven't had much luck so far.

I probably won't be writing a new manuscript for a while, I think 22 scripts is enough for now. I will get back into querying agencies and studios, as well as working on new poetry books. That should be sometime this month but I need to get other things done, new license, plates, insurance, etc...

I hope I can make it here, I don't have many options left. I'll at least get back into writing soon, I even have an idea to write more books on haiku. Splitting up the original into manageable books that will still probably have a couple hundred pages each!

My hope is for players to weigh the risks and rewards of staying up for lengths of time in-game, and have that translate to their own life. If they get frustrated by the input lag in a video game they might understand how sleep deprivation can affect their own lives.
November 27, 2025 at 10:54 PM
This way we wouldn't force the player to go sleep after 20 hours; they could push their character further if they wanted. It gives them a bit of a cushion if they are in a dungeon to grab what they could and leave, relieving a bit of frustration.

There would be more input lag the longer you stay awake: barely perceivable at first, but after being up for 30+ hours the lag would go into the hundreds of milliseconds, before eventually passing out at around 50 hours in-game.

We'd do the same for alcohol.

So the first thing is there would be potions & regular coffee to keep your character awake, plus you could bring a sleeping bag that would recoup a little energy.

You wouldn't pass out at exactly 2am either, it would be based on how many in-game hours you were awake.

HOWEVER...

Eclipse fit clip. I've had mine for several years and it's so light that I think my earbuds are heavier. They're hard to find though, but I have seen imitations online.
