I am in my writing cave today, which is one of my favourite places.✨

I’m working on edits for my summer book. It’s a little bit different, possibly, to my other books - but is still a romance set in a beautiful place, and is hopefully fun and intriguing, uplifting and romantic and a bit sexy. 💞
My office at home. It has a huge pine desk, a purple economic chair and my laptop on top. Above it are various pictures including a signed photo of Henry Cavill, some glass jellyfish and Cornish seascapes. I have various Jellycats on tiny shelves, including a coffee bean and chilli pepper. There are also three separate sets of fairy lights, and a sea salt candle. It is basically the office of my dreams. My large purple striped Cornishware mug that is, sadly, at least half empty. I need more coffee. My higgledy piggledy TBR pile trolley bursting with books. Only two covers are visible - both proofs. One is blue and says, ‘One Night to Fall In Love’ and the other is red and says, ‘Ten years. Two lovers.’ Both have beautiful sketches of houses/chateaus below. I didn’t arrange them like this - it just happened. The Jellycat Love Locks. Two cuddle red heart-shaped locks, linked together with yellow rings that are velcroed. They both have smiling faces and little arms.

I finished @sarramanning.bsky.social’s new book, The Last Days of Summer, yesterday, and you should all preorder it immediately.

It is smoulderingly hot 🥵, breathtakingly romantic, laugh-out-loud funny and will tug at ALL your heartstrings. I sobbed. 💔

On Wednesday I sent the first draft of next summer’s book off to my editor and agent. I have had so much fun writing this one, I’m slightly obsessed with my characters - and the setting - and basically I can’t wait to share more details about it. 🌅🏠💌

David and one of the two, beautiful Siamese cats that visit my parents’ garden (and sometimes the house when they leave the back door open 👀). They are so friendly and have eyes like sapphires. Sometimes I chase cats down the street just so I can get a hug. 😂
