We are disappointed but not surprised that Meta has used millions of pirated books to develop its AI systems.

As a matter of urgency, Meta needs to compensate the rightsholders of all the works it has been exploiting.

We had a mini power cut in the night and the worst part was it reset our coffee machine to ‘low strength’ (why is that even a setting?) and we didn’t notice until AFTER the pot was ready. 😩☕️

I am in my writing cave today, which is one of my favourite places.✨

I’m working on edits for my summer book. It’s a little bit different, possibly, to my other books - but is still a romance set in a beautiful place, and is hopefully fun and intriguing, uplifting and romantic and a bit sexy. 💞
My office at home. It has a huge pine desk, a purple economic chair and my laptop on top. Above it are various pictures including a signed photo of Henry Cavill, some glass jellyfish and Cornish seascapes. I have various Jellycats on tiny shelves, including a coffee bean and chilli pepper. There are also three separate sets of fairy lights, and a sea salt candle. It is basically the office of my dreams. My large purple striped Cornishware mug that is, sadly, at least half empty. I need more coffee. My higgledy piggledy TBR pile trolley bursting with books. Only two covers are visible - both proofs. One is blue and says, ‘One Night to Fall In Love’ and the other is red and says, ‘Ten years. Two lovers.’ Both have beautiful sketches of houses/chateaus below. I didn’t arrange them like this - it just happened. The Jellycat Love Locks. Two cuddle red heart-shaped locks, linked together with yellow rings that are velcroed. They both have smiling faces and little arms.

I finished @sarramanning.bsky.social’s new book, The Last Days of Summer, yesterday, and you should all preorder it immediately.

It is smoulderingly hot 🥵, breathtakingly romantic, laugh-out-loud funny and will tug at ALL your heartstrings. I sobbed. 💔

Spent this morning finishing The Last Days of Summer by @sarramanning.bsky.social for the second time after inhaling it in one hectic late-night read. If you like romance, grumpy men, missed chances, extremely 🔥🥵 scenes (the pantry!) and a really devastating emotional kick this is for you. Out 3/25.

On Wednesday I sent the first draft of next summer’s book off to my editor and agent. I have had so much fun writing this one, I’m slightly obsessed with my characters - and the setting - and basically I can’t wait to share more details about it. 🌅🏠💌

So 7th book - Beautiful People - is out. People have said very nice things. (Which is up there with cake when it comes to making me smile). The book is about certain privileged folk getting away with bad behaviour, obsession, identity, and a lot of champagne. #beautifulpeople
