All good. Maybe one day filtering microplastics at home will be a worthwhile endeavor, but the government will have to do something about it first like how they intervened to take lead out of various products. For now the microplastic avoiders are just playing make believe.

Sure, and so is the tube between the filter and my glass, but at least my kid avoids some lead exposure. Microplastics are so prevalent that I don't think there's anything anyone can do to avoid them.

I don't know about microplastics, but I have old plumbing that probably has lead solder. So, I like to get my water through the NSF/ANSI 53 filter in my refrigerator.

Pitcher filters tend to get gross anyway.

Grid operators should have kill switches for high power consumption/low payroll businesses to keep demand below reasonable limits.
