Government policy to curtail the right to protest is wrong headed. The role of government is to represent ALL people. It is patronising for a few to say sorry it’s not in the best interests of the United Kingdom. We are are the United Kingdom.

English speaking newspapers don’t seem to have picked up on Trump administration threats of sanctions against judges in current appeals case involving Marine LePen’s indictment regarding European Parliament fund embezzling which could cost her the right to run for president next year.

From Ryan air…. Laughable really that they criticise any other cog in the wheel… they’re amping the worst airlines I fly with; and it’s always someone else’s fault!

I have changed my mind, the governments spokesperson’s fuckwittering convinced me. It is the government’s job to have a view. We may not like it but have flipping view and when asked about Greenland don’t dance around the handbags … show solidarity. If Europe closed all bases, US would be screwed

Perhaps now is the time to have a concerted European defence strategy… excluding those who block if required. The case for rejoining the EU has never been stronger. Russia backed reform and weak Tories are no alternative… labour better shape up….

Happy new year all we read this. I read @carolecadwalla.bsky.social email from the Perineum this morning, slightly sore of head (flu in my case) and that post New Year’s party mix of flatness and elation… the mental equivalent, for me at least, of cold pepperoni pizza, sitting in the air as I read…

The landing page on the BBC, the news page is no better. Most digital news media is dumbed down magazine articles, come on! You need to be better. People are like computers, crap in crap out. How can you expect a reasonable discourse when you don’t feed it… @theguardian.com and the rest same goes

Reading that the cost of staying at the up-market hotel in Moscow would be around $13000, assuring that’s per head… it’s still a fraction of what the Assad’s siphoned out of Syria…. The fact is rich (dictators look after themselves), they see the rest of us as ticks on dog. Feudalism lives

So the @sorbone.bsky.social campus in the emirates dismissed a critic of one of the Assad family members… apparently he “cheated”, 🤔. Could be true I suppose but it feels 🐠 y

The latest pledge of the failing democracy over the pond is chilling. Europe for all its faults is generally a great place for its population… Russia and its lackey in the US (note not all of the US) see it as a threat and both are bent on destabilising and destroying it…. Time for UK to rejoin

What price democracy? After reading about cuts to health, justice (jury trials) I am left wondering why we tolerate cuts to public services, while private businesses avoid as much tax as they can, while the wealthiest enjoy record lows in taxes… our Labour government has seemingly lost its way…
