You have to have some grant opportunities somewhere? Unfortunately I wouldn’t be the one to ask about how to find them, but maybe your rescue contacts could point you in the right direction.

It’s tough because foster dad is single and also does a ton of work for a dog rescue but he doesn’t have a lot of visitors. And I have been so crammed all summer and fall with other sick rescues that needed critical care, I wasn’t able to take these guys in myself. So they sat.

They have only interacted with each other due to the way foster dad’s home has needed to be set up, but they get along with each other and are young enough that a friendly new cat would probably be ok if given a slow & proper introduction.

They’re not going to be first-time-cat cats, but I believe with all my heart they all have a person for them somewhere. I feel really defeated over these guys. We are responsible for them and just shuffling them off to barn homes feels like giving up, like abandoning them & all the work we’ve done.

I just feel like we have failed them somehow. I know they are good cats and there have to be people out there somewhere who will cherish them if they just give them a chance and understand they will need a slow transition with some patience and a small space to start.

These are cats who have lived inside with their foster since they were two months old. They don’t know how to live outside, but it was suggested to me to give up on them & make them barn cats. But they are sweet with their foster dad. They just need adopters who can go slow & show them they’re safe.
