But of course the stuff that actually gets eyeballs is the low-effort spam :|

I think it really depends on where they're being posted. A lot of the stuff that's visible is made by engagement farm types who post to...I guess I'd say "general" communities? And they have a very particular/lazy aesthetic to them, like you said. But within genAI-specific communities you tend to

I don't mind AI itself but good *lord* do I hate how much it's gotten crammed everywhere. The impact of shoving a prompt into every single google search - that nobody wants! - is boggling.

Though it's also just the latest result of valuing "convenience" over control in tech that I blame Apple for.

I’ve found I really enjoy 2nd person + limited 3rd person interiority (not sure if there’s a better term for it). I can vibe with being assigned actions, but “I would not think/feel that” is hard for me to get past.
