Important and timely example of how science and technology policy research can inform research funding debates. Congrats to @crsugimoto.bsky.social from the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School of Public Policy (@gtresearchnews.bsky.social) and the entire research team.

Really enjoyed taking part in the panel discussion earlier today on Feminist Metascience at #Metascience2025! In the panel I spoke about epistemic diversity and intellectual humility. We need to be considering voices that are quieter in these discussions- it shouldn’t be a battle to be heard here.
crsugimoto.bsky.social
Your note about expansion is clarifying (and resonates with what I know of your work!).
crsugimoto.bsky.social
I heard your comment as suggesting that some fields (e.g., political science) were better prepared for this crisis and therefore fields that were not prepared should adopt a new epistemic lens; rather than suggesting that we employ a variety of epistemic lenses that are suited for the moment.

Loving Cassidy Sugimoto's comment about avoiding narrowing at all cost. Many lenses, many topics, many people - that's the way forward. ❤️

@crsugimoto.bsky.social can other sectors save us if US govt decreases science funding? Business/philanthropy have very different priorities w/ little room for "curiosity-driven" research. "Science is global and should serve the #globalpublicgood"

Excellent opening to day 2 of #metascience2025 from @crsugimoto.bsky.social who offered a critical, and yet hopeful vision for the ongoing role of the interconnected science system, and it's role in nurturing unfettered exploration - and ultimately public good.
