My view is that Netanyahu has no room to manoeuvre. He cannot defy Trump. He will try to sabotage the process and he's the absolute master in delays, obfuscation and distraction. But if the WH really wants this war over - then that's what will happen.

down here at the scruffy end of the 'hood it's a riot of demographic microclimates on a mixed bedrock of white/Irish and British Kashmiri descent: Poles,Albanians, Kurds, Pinoys. There's a kinship group of Roma renting half a local street and the local newsagent used to be run by a Tibetan Muslim.

The area of Manchester where the horrific antisemitic attack took place is one of the few in the UK where Jewish & Muslim ppl both live in large numbers. We must learn from & follow how these communities support each other, as we condemn the attack & send love & solidarity to Jews across the UK

her parents were serious esoteric nazis too, rather than the charming aristocratic eccentrics they're made out to be. The family allegedly kept kosher at home because the elder Mitfords thought it was a way the Jews had worked out to prevent cancer but kept to themselves.

pretty much all of Higher Crumpsall under full lockdown. Helicopters everywhere. Cops seem to have made Tesco car park their HQ/vehicle depot.

The scene of the attack, incidentally, is very near where Stephen Oake was killed back in 2003.

He went on Farage’s own GB News show.

Glasman is the architect of Blue Labour, the ultra-conservative Labour pressure group.

the working classes today are in mass market retail. Tesco alone is the UK's largest private sector employer. Add the other supermarkets and you have a massive minimum wage workforce which doesn't seem to enter into any political calculus at all.

Notice that everywhere except Southern Europe, the middle class have proven to be a much more important part of the left's coalition than the working class since the early 2000s. Labour strategists are pining for the early 1980s. Even then working class Brits today are cleaners not miners. 9/n
