Maybe the best officials in the world should do their bleeping jobs. The entirety of the Caps was on the ice - blocking Dobes from leaving the ice. The referees failed to do their jobs... like usual and the teams get warned for it.

I never had the shootout wins tabulated into the totals. Habs still would have made it, beating the Rangers by one point. All playoff matchups remain the same.

If the NHL used a 3-2-1-0 point system pretty much the playoffs would be unchanged EXCEPT the New York Rangers would have beaten Montreal Canadiens for the last Wild Card slot by 1 point.
Montreal relied heavily on getting into over time, 23% of their games. Rangers - 12%.

If the NHL used a 3-2-1-0 point system pretty much the playoffs would be unchanged EXCEPT the New York Rangers would have beaten Montreal Canadiens for the last Wild Card slot by 1 point.
Montreal relied heavily on getting into over time, 23% of their games. Rangers - 12%.

The picture is of tonight's game. Columbus' Goaltender ripped Matthews stick from his hands and started using it. Matthews, for some dumb reason, decided to pick up and tried to play with the goalies stick.

I have a spread sheet that I input the #NHL standings data into it. I have it converted into a 3 point regulation win, 2 for OT/SO win, 1 for OT/SO loss and 0 for regulation loss.
The East would have Boston/Ottawa in the wild card with the NY Rangers on their heels.
Stop rewarding overtime!
